Icarus. Son of Daedalus who dared to fly too near the sun on wings of feathers and wax. Daedalus had been imprisoned by King Minos of Crete within the walls of his own invention, the Labyrinth. But the great craftsman's genius would not suffer captivity.
My Icarus is the desire to build structures of Lego materials. I try to follow "real" architectural motifs like floors between each level, stand-alone frames, skins of glass, lighting.. and more.

Icarus XI
A variation on the original Icarus Pavilion, this project reaches for new shapes using the standard square window components.
The slanted window panels were changed to a horizontal position to follow the orientation of the other windows.
